These versions include special TouchUp properties to manage digits, ligatures option and paragraph direction in right-to-left Middle Eastern scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian, as well as standard left-to-right Indian scripts such as Devanagari and Gujarati. The Web Capture feature can convert single web pages or entire web sites into PDF files, while preserving the content's original text encoding. Acrobat can also copy Arabic and Hebrew text to the system clipboard in its original encoding; if the target application is also compatible with the text encoding, then the text will appear in the correct script.

App Store. Microsoft Store. Engineering blog for Adobe Reader on mobile platforms. Windows Store. Retrieved 7 April Retrieved 12 Feb Nope, didn't work! I have tried everything, but I guess will print 2 pages at a time as I don't know what else to do. Thanks though! Same here. No Adobe PDF printer, even after repairing the installation. This thread began with a question about Reader printing--but I gather that Reader and Acrobat users are having the same problem. You can download earlier version of reader on the adobe site via downloads, then product updates on the right hand side of the screen , then choose what product you want and if you are using windows or mac etc Registered: May 22 I am not even getting anything that is normal wording.

Registered: Jun 28 You mean Adobe still hasn't fixed the printing problem? I reloaded V9. Same here as above said, the first two pages are fine, then after that, no good.

V9 works okay. Lori, I have un-installed and cleared out registry several times and each time I reinstall, I still get same thing. I just figured out last night how to go back to previous version, and will use that until someone post on here they have fixed the problem.

Apparently a point update to Acrobat X caused the problem. The technical note Adobe PDF print port changes provides detailed information on how to correct the problem. Will Adobe be coming out with a software update? So they know the problem exsit, when will the software be updated. I rather have a working version then have to load it then load another fix-it patch.

I will not be using the X-version until the software I use works without having to read a tech note to fix what should work. Strange, but I never had an Adobe printer in my printers and faxes folder in control panel, at least not that I could see.

I might try the way you said, but I hate to have to go through all of this again. And I am with plcguys, fix it! But, at least you guys are aware of the problem and are looking at solutions. But like others, I frequently get pages of garbled text from my printer. So it seems that the fix that Lori Kassuba found cannot be applied. In any case, I have tried to repair my installation twice, to no avail. I have sent several messages to Adobe about this problem--no response.

I hope that Adobe is working on this somewhere--it seems strange to be having a major problem like this after many years of zero problems with Adobe probucts. Registered: Sep 15 Hi guys. Ran into this problem today.

Dunno what's causing the problem, but I'm pretty sure its got something to do about document encryption as well as fonts. I also encountered the problem on Adobe Reader X. Updating to the latest version didn't help.

Anyway, I found a temporary solution to my problem by printing my PDFs as images, instead of text. Before printing your page select "Advanced" and then check the "Print as image" box. Your document should be printing fine, at least mine did. Hope this helps. This is unbelievable Adobe has not fixed the printing problem yet. I am holding off from buying version X and run version 9. It makes me believe Adobe thinks it is not their problem, or they do not know how to solve the printing problem.

How much lost money is this costing Adobe? Like I said in my previous posts, if I print a document that has more then a couple pages, after the first few pages, it is garbage.

Really nice people have to find work arounds to print properly. Good job Adobe. After upgrading to Reader X I've even reinstalled my printer drivers although I didn't have to since every other document prints without problems. I can see the. PDF document, I can scroll through the pages or click the down arrow to move through the pages using the reader software.

However, when I want to print: Nada. This occurs when I either select the printer icon within the software or do File Print: 1 I click the print option - it takes about 15 seconds to see the print menu appear. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, Adobe Reader, tried printing as an image nope doesn't work.

Registered: Nov 4 Hi, Can you please try a couple of things: 1. Disable Protected mode and then try to print. Check "Print to file" option in the print dialog and see whether print to file works properly. Registered: Sep 27 I am running Adobe I am having the same problem with garbled printing. Usually I print invoices received by email. For instance 2 might print correctly, and after that it comes out garbled.

On the other hand, I printed an entire document of 24 pages today and every page was garbled. What a waste! I also had the problem kcav had, about 'document could not be printed; there were no pages selected'. When that happened, I rebooted my computer and it printed okay. The problem is just random, unpredictable Registered: Oct 16 When I try to print in X, I choose a printer, click ok and it opens up a save as dialog instead of printing the document.

So the document never prints. Registered: Oct 17 Any time you want to print using acrobat and you want the prints to not print the boxes inplace of text or whatever your printer sees it as.

You can select advanced settings on the first pop-up for printing and then select print as image. This will flatten and send it to the printer as a photo rather than text. Hi all. I'm posting this in the hopes that it might help someone else out that may have the same symptom.

Last week, my Adobe Reader stopped printing. Nothing I did produced any result. Not hitting the print icon. There was no error message.

If you want full compatibility with all versions of PDF documents, then the only original PDF viewer is from the source and that is Adobe.

Adobe PDF documents are universally used in business, education and personal exchanges and the documents themselves can contain very rich graphics and diagrams. Firstly, Adobe Reader XI can be painfully slow at times and with the awesome amount of ability it packs into one program, I suppose it isn't too abnormal that it might at times slow down. Still, there are many different free PDF readers available and many are choosing not to use Adobe. The benefits of running Adobe PDF Reader XI are negligible compared to many of the other options, so if you must, install this program.

Otherwise, take a look around for some faster programs like Foxit's free PDF reader. The original PDF reader for Windows. A review by Fernando Ortega.
